Irene Samantha Calderón Azpiazu
Irene Samantha Calderón Azpiazu is currently a Fellow at the Institute for Integrated Transitions (IFIT), where she collaborates closely with the team in Mexico.
Irene is a dual-degree student in Economics and International Relations at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her academic trajectory and commitment to governance and youth leadership have led her to serve as President of the Student Government Federation, where she promotes initiatives focused on identity, participation, and student representation.
Her experience includes collaborations with organisations such as Banorte, CEPAL, COFECE, and USAID, where she has worked on public policy projects, international cooperation, and economic analysis.
Passionate about diplomacy, gender equality, economic development, and the impact of women in decision-making, she seeks to strengthen her expertise in parliamentary leadership and public policy.
