Alba Pérez Marginet

Alba Pérez Marginet is an Intern at the Institute for Integrated Transitions (IFIT), based in its headquarters in Barcelona.

Alba holds a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a
postgraduate programme in Conflict, Peace and Gender. Prior to joining IFIT, she interned
as a Research Assistant at CIDOB, where she participated in the EU-funded project
SHAPEDEM-EU “Rethinking and Reshaping the EU’s Democracy Support in its Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood”. Under this framework, she focused on the African Union and the League of Arab States’ stance on democracy in the MENA region.

With a deep-seated interest in the field of democracy and human rights, next year Alba will pursue a master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action at Science Po.
