Sri Lanka
Building on IFIT’s previous years of engagement to advance constitutional democratic reform and transition in Sri Lanka, in the summer of 2023 IFIT helped to launch the Sri Lanka Reforms Brain Trust: a diverse, cross-sectoral group of 19 recognised local experts and civic leaders.
Developed in partnership with the Colombo-based Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Edinburgh Centre for Constitutional Law, the brain trust aims to ensure that, over time, Sri Lanka’s reform process leads to a genuine and irreversible transformation of the country’s structures, practices, and culture of governance, for the common benefit of all Sri Lankans.
