Ukraine
Over a period of three years (2015-2018), IFIT provided impartial expert analysis and technical assistance inside the Minsk peace process established to end the conflict in eastern Ukraine. IFIT’s executive director met with the parties during successive cycles of the talks, providing independent advice on the issue of amnesty. IFIT also hosted the OSCE peace mediation team in charge of the Minsk talks for wide-ranging strategic discussions. IFIT is currently supporting local strategy efforts to strengthen social cohesion in the face of the armed conflict and future transition needs.
