María del Pilar Barbosa
María del Pilar Barbosa is an Associate at the Institute for Integrated Transitions (IFIT), based in the Bogotá office.
Prior to joining IFIT, María del Pilar was the coordinator of the non-repetition section of the Colombian Commission for the Clarification of Truth, Coexistence, and Non-repetition. Previously, she was the Deputy Director of Participation of the Territorial Renewal Agency (ART) where she led the methodological design and implementation of the participatory process of the Development Programmes with a Territorial-Based Focus (PDET). She also worked at the Office of the High Commissioner for Peace as an expert advisor on the peace talks with the FARC, where she provided inputs for the government delegation. In addition, María del Pilar was part of the team responsible for the zones and points of transition and normalization for the disarmament and reincorporation process for FARC ex-combatants.
A specialist in government and public policy, María del Pilar graduated as an economist from La Salle University, and has a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Universidad de Los Andes.
