PAST EVENT: Doing no harm in Syria’s recovery: Answering the “how” – A side event to the Brussels V Conference

IFIT´s Syria Resource Group (SRG) will hold its latest policy dialogue in the form of a side event to the Brussels V Conference on Syria.
As the political process for ending the conflict in Syria remains stalled, the country has entered into a prolonged status quo that is nevertheless shaping its future. While reconstruction funding officially is off the table in the absence of political transition, the different forms of upgraded humanitarian aid are defining future patterns of the country’s reconstruction. At the same time, the political stalemate is reducing the ability of the EU and international community to influence developments on the ground.
The event will provide field-based analysis of the challenges and offer creative but realistic solutions for course correction. The closed roundtable format aims to create space for discussion between the SRG´s platform of Syrian experts and key members of the international community committed to overcoming the Syrian conflict.
Date: Friday, March 26th 2021 from 3:00pm – 4:30pm Brussels time
Please note, this event is an invitation-only roundtable. If you have any questions or inquiries, please contact [email protected]
