Worlds Apart: Lessons on Polarization from Global Leaders

Event

31/05/2024

As part of IFIT and the Ford Foundation’s Global Initiative on Polarization, a high-level two-day convening took place in New York City entitled “Worlds Apart: Lessons on Polarization from Global Leaders”.

The event gathered 250+ U.S. social, political, media and business leaders and four global peacemakers from IFIT’s network who shared critical lessons from their experience in shifting extreme states of polarization:

 – Hon. Ms. Ouided Bouchamaoui (Tunisia)

 – General Óscar Naranjo (Colombia)

 – Rev. Dr. Samuel Kobia (Kenya)

 – Hon. Ms. Monica McWilliams (UK)

Together with our media partner, Economist Impact, we have created a special webpage that includes a mix of audio, visual and written material on pathways to depolarization: http://impact.economist.com/projects/path-to-depolarization

We invite you to watch this video on how to overcome polarization.
