PAST EVENT: International Assistance for all in Syria – A Side Event to the Brussels IV Conference

The Syria Resource Group, with the support of Institute for Integrated Transitions (IFIT), is pleased to invite you to attend a special online event: International Assistance for All in Syria. This is a side event of the Brussels IV Conference and will be held on Monday, June 22nd from 15:00 to 16:30 Brussels time.
Over the nine years of the Syrian conflict, an unprecedented level of humanitarian and early recovery assistance has been mobilised. Yet, the aid has been systematically politicised, manipulated and diverted to one side of the conflict, setting a dangerous pattern for future reconstruction. Members of the Syria Resource Group – a multidisciplinary and non-affiliated platform of leading Syrian experts – will present and discuss an alternative framework that offers more realistic and principled parameters of aid for this critical juncture in the reconstruction debate. This discussion will serve as the basis upon which a set of recommendations will be devised and later published by the Syria Resource Group.
Panelists
- Fadi Dayoub, Co-founder and Director of LDSPS
- Zozan Alloush, Humanitarian Coordinator for the Syrian Democratic Council
- Nasser Youssef, Secretary and Board Member of SIBA
- Sawsan Abou Zainedin, Urban Development Planner, Co-founder of Sakan Housing Communities
The discussion and Q&A will be moderated by Avila Kilmurray and Assaad Al Achi.
Please register here. You will receive the webinar link upon registration. For any queries, please email Dana Habib at dhabib@ifit-transitions.org.
