The Institute for Integrated Transitions (IFIT) is pleased to announce International Assistance for Captive Populations – The Cases of Afghanistan and Syria, the latest webinar within our 10 Peacebuilding Innovations series.
Providing humanitarian aid to populations living under violent regimes is fraught with moral and practical challenges. The international community frequently struggles with the dilemma of how to provide such aid without simultaneously legitimising an unrecognised or predatory regime.
In this webinar, two recognised leaders from Afghanistan and Syria will share original IFIT ideas and recommendations on alternative, tailored aid delivery approaches which do no harm and which enable local populations to play a lead role in their country’s recovery process.
Date: Wednesday, June 28 from 4:00pm-4:30pm Barcelona time
Registration: Please click here to receive the Zoom link to be able to watch the webinar.
Moderator: Adriana Brassart, IFIT Head of Office and member of IFIT’s Transition Assistance Practice Group.

- Assaad Al Achi, IFIT Syria Resource Group
